Chase Maddox Park
Chase Maddox Park is the City of Locust Grove’s newest and largest park. This park features paved parking, two enclosed dog areas, a rubber walking track, a pavilion with public restrooms, and a grassy field for open play. Chase Maddox Park is named after Officer Chase Maddox, who was killed in the line of duty in February of 2018. Falcon Design provided bidding assistance and construction management for this project. Services included; preparing contract documents and technical specifications, conducted pre-bid meetings, oversaw questions and answers, assisted the City with bid openings, coordinated all design intent issues regarding contract drawings and specifications, conducted reviews of construction activity as needed for compliance with specifications, quality, current schedule, and equipment testing and training, maintained photographic records for construction activities observed during on-site visits, developed monthly project progress reports for submission to the City, developed a project RFI log and a project submittal log, reviewed and approved all pay applications, provided Value Engineering Analysis on an as-needed basis for project components related to cost and time savings.
