The design services scope requested by the City of Newnan, was to develop an early concept plan for capacity, operational, and safety improvements, including access management to Lower Fayetteville Road.

The study limits of the project are from Greison Trail / East Newnan Road to Shenandoah Boulevard / Summergrove Parkway, approximately 4.5 miles of roadway design. All studies, modeling, design, and deliverables were required to be in conformance with standards and requirements for GDOT, including the Plan Development Process, ARC, AASHTO, and FHWA. Services provided include a .5-mile traffic study of current conditions, including environmental issues, development of cost estimates using current and future dollar costs, solicitation of public feedback, and approval from the Newnan City Council.
